Overwintering Colonies from a Commercial Beekeeper’s Perspective presented by Rich Lomba

Our guest speaker for the September meeting is Rich Lomba owner of the North East Honey Company.  Rich Lomba started beekeeping when he was 11 years old and comes from a long line of family beekeepers in Poland.  North East Honey Company of Pembroke is a commercial beekeeping company specializing in local honey.  Rich will be discussing his approach to successful overwintering colonies touching on topics such as nutrition, winter setup, varroa management and other aspects of organizing your colonies for winter.
